St Michael's Church

St Michael's is set in the heart of the village of Spreyton and we would be pleased to welcome you to join us in worship or to look around our beautiful church (which dates back to at least 1451 AD). More on the church, its history, architecture, monuments, graves and bell ringers.

We are a member of the family of churches called The Whiddon Mission Community which stretches from Chagford to North Tawton. It is an exciting time and we welcome people of all traditions and none to be part of what God is doing in this beautiful part of Devon.

For up to date services and events within the parish please visit or call 01647 432265.

Friends of St Michael's Church Update

Just to let everyone know what has been happening recently regarding fundraising for the electrical systems in the church.
The Christmas Tree celebrations were a great success both in terms of decorating the church and in raising funds. Sponsorship and donations raised a net figure after expenses of £649.21.
Thanks to a tremendous effort by everyone at The Tom Cobley the Christmas raffle there raised £145.00.
The pub quiz at The Tom Cobley held on Sunday 24th January raised £110.00.
The total now raised (including the £7000.00 from the PCC) is £17,728.21.
The quotes for the work to be done are now starting to come in and once these are known we will call a meeting to discuss the way forward.
Thank you to everyone for your generosity and support.
